Intensive Videomaker course

Level 1 -> Refresher Phase (4 sessions, one month)

Overview of Professional Videography (this is a fast track of the Videography Intermediate course,

also including the various types of videography services)

Overview of Video equipment (a review of personal equipment and understanding requirements)

Overview of Audio equipment & techniques (an introduction to getting the best sounds)

Camcorder skills & techniques (practice and introduction to various camcorder skills & composition)

Introduction to creative editing (overview on tools and edit styles)

Introduction to creating graphic elements (overview of image creation software)

Concept Development & Storyboarding

Pre-production planning (budget planning, location releases etc)

Initial Business Development (creating a website, namecards, logo generation etc)

Overview of videomaking ethics (dos & don’ts of videomaking, professional ethnics & standards)

Practical exercises (work done on projects, similar to on the job training)

Level 2 -> Development Phase (12 sessions, three months)

Videomaking Ethics (client management, project management, crew management etc)

Business Development 2 (continuing website development, updates, promotions and collaborations)

Camcorder Mastery (advanced pro level techniques & advanced composition)

Overview of Video Compositing (advanced video editing techniques)

Creative Editing (professional editing skills & focus based editing styles for various events, e.g.

Wedding, events)

Creating graphic elements (DVD design, image manipulation techniques for video)

Professional set lighting (A study of set lighting for controlled environments)

Live camera Production (A study of production for live events)

Multi-camera Production (A study of production in a multi-camera environment)

Practical exercises (work done on projects, similar to on the job training)

Level 3 -> Refinement Phase (8 sessions, two months)

Producing a short film (Covering the practical aspect of creating a short film from start to finish)

Producing an event video (Covering an event and creating an archive DVD)

Practical exercises (work done on projects, similar to on the job training)
