Day One (Theory & Familiarisation) (approximately 6 hours)
The Theory & Familiarisation class starts in our
studio and an instructor will take you through the theory section, explaining in detail how each portion of information will
help make your videos better. The Theory section will last about 3 - 4 hours and aims to enhance the
individual's knowledge of videography.
The Familiarisation section aims to get the individual accustomed to the controls
of the camcorder & equipment. This section usually lasts an hour or two. This section serves as an introduction to the techniques
involved in video production. Practice and evaluation sessions of the techniques will be held on the Field Class.
If you have
your own video camcorder, we highly recommend you to bring it along and we will take you through a complete
orientation of your camcorder and it's features. There's no better training than understanding how to use your own equipment
to it's fullest!
Day Two (Field Class) (approximately 6 hours)
The Field class will be held usually at a place of interest in
Singapore. (For example, Jurong Birdpark, Singapore Zoo, Sungei Buloh, Botanical Gardens etc) All entrance fees, light beverages and
a meal will be provided.
Students will practice videography techniques as well as seek to refine existing skills during this class.
Students will learn how to assess real-life shooting situations and learn how to employ workarounds & solutions when difficult
situations arise. The Field class is an excellent training ground for the individual to gain experience on videography as well as
operating the equipment each individual owns.
An instructor will be guiding you along this class and will assess your footage
at the end of the Field Class. Constructive suggestions will be given (pointing out good & bad points of your shooting style) on
how you can improve your videography skills.
A VideoLifestyle certification and instruction/ reference CD is included upon
completion of this course.
