Hey All!
Just to share with you a quick review on the new SANYO XACTI HD1010.
Well, it's very much a 1920X1080 camcorder but just read on...
Unless you are the kind that wants a cam that points and shoot ( PERIOD) or a GUNG HO just like me and have a itchy fingers on anything new,
I can only give you one frank advice, save your money and stay away from the XACTI HD1010 if you plan to edit your files.
Bringing the file to your NLE at full SUPER HR 1920X1080 / 60i or 1920x1080 / 30p your video will stutter ever more than a AVCHD file. ( QUAD CORE )
It behaves worst than my EX1 CineAlta files.
In Auto Low Lighting sucks...Auto Focus Sucks.... White Balance Sucks ( especially in low light) .... Noise Galore...........Do you really need more??? Auto just sucks!
Oh and about the 300fps mode....which i thought was something kewl...check it out bro! NO AUDIO and records in 448x336 pixels.
Why don't i sum it to you in one word! Forget About This Cam if you plan to edit! ...... stretch a couple hundreds more and get a proper HDV cam HV30 or even a HC9E.
What I like about the SANYO XACTI HD1010 and that is the ability to manipulate ISO settings even for video mode. your so call gain settings on the XACTI with very acceptable noise even
at ISO 400 settings. This is where the CAM rawks! Will post some videos on VIMEO soon.....if i get rendering it

Note: HR1920x1080 60i will not play in QUICKTIME, VLC, ALTERNATIVE or anything but will show up on VEGAS PRO. Only the 30p files...

Above is a still captured in VEGAS from the actual video file. Anyone interested in a XACTI HD1010??? PM ME ONE DAY OLD!!!

Cheers
VideoCobra
