Designed with proprietary Canopus video technologies, DVStorm XA Plus is capable of performing unlimited realtime, render-free video, audio, title and graphics layers, with keyframable 2D, 3D and alpha video transitions and sophisticated, stackable video filters.

This power is made possible by scalable video architecture. Pioneered by Canopus in 1998, Scalable Video Technology ensures that the realtime editing capabilities in DVStorm XA Plus increase with CPU power. Scalability ensures a long product life and a greater return on investment.

DVStorm XA Plus features hardware-based DV editing acceleration, providing tight integration with the included software packages from Canopus: EDIUS Pro, the professional editing software platform. The hardware-based realtime editing acceleration power in DVStorm XA Plus can also be brought to Adobe® Premiere® Pro software, with the included plug-in.

The advanced analog and digital video I/O and processing built into DVStorm XA Plus ensure the very best picture quality with perfectly synchronized audio at every step of the production process. High-quality analog output provides live uncompressed YUV 4:2:2 video while editing in all supported applications. With the optional component video output module, DVStorm XA Plus provides connectivity to Betacam decks and broadcast monitors.
