iKan PT1000w Teleprompter Kit

I wanted to see if the iKan PT1000w would cut it for me as a low cost teleprompter kit. Courtesy of Media Architects who loan me the set for a test, i decided to see how well this lightweight teleprompter will work in an actual scenario. The screen is lightweight and fairly sharp and  a couple of minutes was required for the setup.

With the special arm the best position for this teleprompter is to sit just above the lens. i also discovered with a couple of trial runs that you must try to place it at least six feet away from the talent or the line of sight seems off with the subject looking instead into the lens but above the lens. So the way to avoid this is to sit the camcorder at least six to eight feet away. The text are still clearly visible so there isn’t a problem to set it up in this manner.

TOYS R EX3

Here is a short video clip I decided to put together introducing some of the great toys for the PMW-EX3. Paid a visit to EXPANDORE ELECTRONICS and had EX3s galore all around me and also all the great accessories to go with it. Anyway, the shoot only took a couple of hours and credit must be given to Chris the sales executive at Expandore Electronics which did a great job in playing the part superbly.
