Just a short little look on the JVC-GY HM-100.
3 CCD 1/4 inch Progressive Scan Sensors.
Weighs under 1.5 KGs and packs a pretty nice punch in
terms of manual features as well as SDHC dual slots.
it is nice to handle but focus can be a little challenging as the LCD screen is not as good as I would have hoped for. even though it has the patented focus assist, it is very very different from the GY-HM700 screen and manual controls are very easy to use as you will notice in the video all the manual controls have individual physical buttons so there is not necessity for touch screen settings etc. low light IMO not great at all owing to smaller size 1/4 inch sensors.

A short little impression on the new GY-HM700. Some interesting features on this new Shoulder Camcorder 1/3rd inch 3 x CCDs Progressive with JVC patented focus assist and well as 35mbits VBR. The worlds Fastest Shoot to Edit Camcorder today only for FCP users. Take note this is only for FCP not FCE not iMovie. There is so much more what this cam offers but lets face it i only have 500 mbytes on Vimeo so hope you enjoy the video done in a rush. The HM700 is a pre production model and special thanks go to Roger of Reel Motion HD for filming here as well as LSV Enterprise and JVC Singapore for the loan of the camcorder.
